  • Achieving Quality through Academic Audits
  • Programme Evaluation and Quality Enhancement
  • Research Imperatives for Quality Enrichment
  • Developing Working Partnerships for Quality

Quality in any enterprise is not a destination, but a never-ending journey. As expected standards are achieved, as one set of problems are solved, as issues are ironed out - there begins another iterative cycle. Contexts change, new problems emerge, higher standards are set, and unexpected issues arise in this search for the ultimate. The endeavour for quality in any field of work is a never-ending quest. The conference will focus on the issue of quality enhancement and raising programme standards in the field of education.

Education in India is plagued with inherent problems and educational contexts are constantly in a state of flux. There is a need to raise the bar and work towards the next level in terms of quality of the processes and products of education. The conference is being organized with the intention of providing a forum for exchange of ideas on various elements related to quality in education.

In recent years, quality management experts have worked with powerful sets of tools and techniques. Though these may have been developed in business or other fields, there is considerable potential for application in education. Another path to achieving quality is through academic audits, a concept which has its roots in the financial sector, but is extremely relevant in education. Programme Evaluation is another popular trend in quality enhancement. Quality cannot be achieved by educational institutions operating in isolation. Therefore collaboration and developing working partnerships for process-improvement in the educational sector is crucial. Quality enrichment can also be achieved through inquiry into the processes of education, and therefore finding the right path in educational research is key.

Programme schedule will be announced shortly.
